The 268 run straight up (no converter, Don't need headers or gears unless you want them)Īnd for all that argue other wise I know there is data to support the 212 (Shcnider cam) and it is good. Is the T/A 212 good sure it is but is it the be all end all Hell No So in a Daily driver with low compression and other wise stock the 268 has a nice broad power band from just off idle to 5500 RPM.Ī cam is the most important choice your going to make when building an engine. Split design is better but Buick did not think so even T/A offers cams that are not split. I have ran them in Buicks, Fords, Chevys, And comp cams makes good stuff with good customer support. Is it the absolute best choice for the Buick 350 probably not but is very user friendly (does that mean bad performance NO, does it mean maybe a lose of power maybe but with most things when modifying an engine there is always a compromise. Everyday performance loves his 268 comp cam so don't at least a dozen other people on this site.
